Coffee, Vinyl, Nintendo & Parking: The Questions We Get Asked Most Often Part 1

People ask us a lot of questions.
As The Bali Florist grew into Café Bloom, BloomWerk, and Bloom After Dark, we somehow ended up creating four spaces with very different personalities — and plenty of frequently asked questions.
So whether you're visiting for coffee, a productive work session, or a night of vinyl and mocktails, here are some of the questions we hear most often.
1. "Where can I park?"
This is probably our most frequently asked question. Since the completion of Sanur's pedestrian walkway improvements in December 2025, roadside parking along our street is no longer permitted except for brief loading and unloading of around 2–3 minutes.
The good news is that there is dedicated public parking on Jl. Wira, approximately 200 metres from Café Bloom. It accommodates both cars and motorbikes and is usually much easier than circling the block in hope. The walk back takes about two minutes and conveniently helps burn off at least one bite of cake before you even sit down.
2. "What time do you close?"
Café Bloom is open Monday to Saturday from 7:00am to 4:00pm.
BloomWerk operates Monday to Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Bloom After Dark is open Thursday to Saturday from 7:00pm until midnight.
As operating hours may occasionally change due to holidays, special events, or private bookings, we recommend checking our Google Business listing for the latest updates before visiting.
3. "Do you have breakfast?"
We do, although our breakfast menu is intentionally simple and designed to be light yet satisfying. Unlike a full-service restaurant, Café Bloom operates with a pantry rather than a commercial kitchen, so you won't find elaborate hot breakfasts here. Instead, we focus on a small selection of favourites such as boiled eggs, chia pudding, overnight oats, grilled cheese sandwiches, bagels, and other wholesome options that pair well with coffee. For many of our regulars, it's exactly the kind of breakfast they are looking for: uncomplicated, comforting, and enough to start the day without needing a nap afterwards.
4. "Do you have scrambled eggs?"
Sadly, no. Because Café Bloom operates with a pantry rather than a full commercial kitchen, we don't prepare cooked egg dishes such as scrambled eggs or omelettes. What we do have, however, is a rather loyal following for our old-school combination of boiled eggs and kaya toast, as well as our buttery croissants. It may not be as fancy as eggs Benedict, but these simple favourites have fuelled many mornings, conversations, books, and productive work sessions over the years.
5. "Do you have decaf coffee?"
Usually, yes. We do our best to keep decaffeinated beans in stock, although availability occasionally depends on our suppliers as decaf coffee is still somewhat of a niche product in Bali. Sometimes you just want the comfort of a good cup of coffee without the caffeine.
6. "Do you have non-dairy milk options?"
Absolutely. Whether you're lactose-intolerant, vegan, plant-curious, or simply prefer your coffee with something other than dairy, we've got you covered. Depending on availability, we offer a range of plant-based milk alternatives that can be substituted in most of our drinks, making it easier for everyone to enjoy their daily coffee ritual. Our non-dairy options typically include oat milk, almond milk, and coconut milk.
7. "Can I pay with QRIS?"
Fortunately, yes. We accept QRIS, debit cards, credit cards, and cash at Café Bloom.
At BloomWerk and Bloom After Dark, however, we operate as cashless spaces, so payments are made via QRIS, debit card, or credit card only.
8. "Do you sell coffee beans?"
We do indeed. We stock our Bloom Blend medium roast coffee beans, roasted and supplied by Simply Brew — the very same coffee served daily at Café Bloom. If you've enjoyed your cup and would like to recreate the experience at home, you're welcome to take some beans with you. We typically keep a healthy supply on hand, although there are occasions when our stock needs to be prioritised for daily café operations. In those situations, we may only be able to sell smaller quantities until our next delivery arrives.
After all, we'd rather not explain to our regulars why the coffee shop has run out of coffee.
9. "Can I buy soda refills here?"
You can — just next door. The Bali Florist, our parent company and next-door neighbour, is an official Sodafresh reseller and exchange point. In addition to soda makers, they also stock CO₂ cylinders for both new purchases and refill exchanges. For additional information on Sodafresh products and cylinder exchange services, please visit the Sodafresh page on The Bali Florist website.
10. "What's the difference between Café Bloom and BloomWerk?"
Think of Café Bloom as the social sibling and BloomWerk as the focused sibling. Café Bloom is where people gather over coffee, breakfast, lunch, and conversation. It's the kind of place where a quick coffee can easily turn into a two-hour catch-up with friends.
BloomWerk, on the other hand, was created as a dedicated work and creative space. With more ergonomic seating, reliable Wi-Fi, charging points, and a quieter environment, it is better suited to working, studying, reading, meetings, writing, and longer stays.
Guests are welcome to enjoy Café Bloom's food and beverages while working from BloomWerk, making it possible to have the best of both worlds. And let's not forget Bloom After Dark — the night owl of the family. Once the workday ends, BloomWerk transforms into an intimate vinyl listening lounge where the records displayed on the walls come to life through carefully curated sets by the Westside MuzeeQ DeeJays every Thursday to Saturday evening.
To Be Continued...
If Part 1 was about coffee, breakfast, parking, and productivity, Part 2 is where things get a little more interesting. We'll be covering vinyl records, cassette players, Nintendo adventures, guest DJs, pets, mocktails, and some of the more unusual questions we receive on a regular basis. In other words, the questions that make people realise we're not quite a typical café.
